A gang of seven is responsible for the recent spate of attacks in the Kallang area on Sunday, which left one man dead and others seriously injured.
The police said yesterday three Malaysians have been arrested in connection with the "vicious and violent" attacks.
Two other suspects are still at large but Criminal Investigation Department director Ng Boon Gay has vowed to "go all out" to hunt them down.
The attacks had been random in nature; the attackers did not utter a word and set upon their victims violently before taking the items. The victims stood zero chance. All this for $400 and three handphones.
